From his teenage years Matt has been drawn to facing his fears so he can live his dreams.
After a Political Science and Psychology double major, Matt turned down his first graduate job offer to found Peoples Coffee – an organic fair trade coffee roasting company driven by his values to make a difference in the world.
Having successfully exited the running of this business, he went on to found Trade School Industries – a charitable trust that creates training programs and work experience for those with prison pasts.
His last entrepreneurial start up was Kapiti Biodiesel Co-op, a shipping container biofuel lab set us as a worker/owner co-operative taking waste fish and chip oil and transforming it into biodiesel for use in diesel vehicles.
A father of three incredible little humans, Matt is still a seeker of his own truth, and gets excited seeing others move towards their big dreams. Matt has learnt from experience that having a coach who champions your dream can make the difference from starting out on the hero’s journey – or staying in the safety and comfort of the home fires.
